BJP form of nationalism is a drama: Digvijay
Congress fought a long battle against corruption and has set examples like A Raja.
Kanpur: Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Sunday alleged that senior BJP leaders are planning to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to urge him to stop the investigation against the accused in Ajmer and Samjhauta Express blast cases.
Calling the BJP form of nationalism a "drama" Singh said, "Whether it was Ajmer, Mecca Masjid, Malegaon or Samjhauta Express blasts, the names of senior functionaries of RSS have emerged. The law is taking its course but senior BJP leaders are planning to meet Manmohan Singh to press their demand to stop further investigations into the matter".
Singh was addressing a meet on May day in Kanpur.
Singh alleged that BJP was always indulged in corruption whether it was the case of Bangaru Laxman or the present case of BS Yeddyurappa vs Reddy brothers.
Congress fought a long battle against corruption and has set examples like A Raja, former chief minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan or the very recent Suresh Kalmadi.
He also called upon social activist Anna Hazare to start his agitation in UP from the gate of Chief Minister Mayawati's residence and said Congress would also sit with him in his fight.
The whole state is in grip of corruption and honest bureaucrats are being killed, said Singh, adding that two ministers Babu Ram Kushwaha and Anant Mishra have resigned due to irregularities in health department.
