The Central Government decided that there will be no over-the-counter exchange of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes after midnight of November 24. However, people with old notes in hand can still deposit them in their bank accounts.
Payment of School Fees Upto Rs 2000 allowed in Central Schools, State Govt Schools, Municipality and local body schools.
Payment towards prepaid mobile top up to a limit of Rs 500 per top up.

- Opposition is uncomfortable with the debate.
- Scamsters are calling demomnetisation a plunder.
- Disruption not debate is opposition's strategy.

- Biggest of corruption cases took place during UPA rule.
- Maximum black money was created in the country during 2004- 2014.

1.Govt likely to extend the exemptions window by another week to 10 days. This window was expiring on 24th Nov midnight 2
2. PM, FM and other senior ministers and bureaucrats reviewed the demonetisation situation last evening
3. More relief likely for farmers and agricultural sector.
4. Extension of usage of old currency likely for fuel and pharmacies.
5. Announcement on the extension likely by evening.

Here are the areas where concession on use of denotified notes ends at midnight:
- at government hospitals
- For use in all pharmacies for buying medicines with doctor's prescription
- At railway stations
- For purchases at consumer cooperative stores operated under authorisation of central or state governments with identity proof (Safal, Mother Dairy)
- For purchases at milk booths under central or state governments
- At petrol pumps
- At crematoria and burial grounds
- At international airports for arriving and departing passengers up to Rs 5,000
- For foreign tourists to exchange foreign currency up to Rs 5,000
- For purchase of LPG gas cylinders
- For payments towards on-board catering during travel by rail
- For purchase of tickets for suburban and metro rail travel
- For purchase of entry tickets monument maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India
- For payments towards fees, charges, taxes or penalties, payable to central or state governments including municipal and local bodies
- For payments towards utility charges including water and electricity, but no advance payments
- For payments towards court fees
- For payments towards purchase of seeds from designated state-run outlets, but only Rs 500 notes
- Withdrawal from district central cooperative banks up to Rs 24,000 per week.
