One of the most downloaded genres of mobile games is racing and hence, Project Drift competes against a long list of mobile games that already promise to bring something or the other to the table. But what’s different with this game is what most of the people who have ever driven a car will appreciate – and that’s the driving experience.

Developed by OsmanElbeyi, an Indie Game Developer Studio, the game is still in open beta stage and is currently only available on for Android users through the Play Store. For those concerned, the game won’t use much of your storage space either as it only consumes 65 Mb as of now.

The game has a very no-nonsense approach to everything. You start the game and you just have a single intro screen and no graphics intensive videos or animations like other games. The home screen gives you an option to choose between a total of 28 cars, which you will have to buy from the in-game currency of course, and once you select the car. You have to select between five game modes. You would be spending the most amount of gameplay in the career mode though, where you will have to cross 25 levels wherein you are only allowed a set number of crashes and time. These get more difficult as you progress through the game. The tracks are very intriguing to play and it takes some time getting used to it, just like in the real world, and once you do, you are in for a treat.

You can also choose between a Gymkhana experience or race against time in the racing game mode where you will have to race with a faster car. There’s also a free roam mode to help you practice and improve your skills.

All the cars can be customised with 10 different colours and come with their own sets of statistics so be sure of what you spend your in-game currency on as it takes a bit of time to collect it. The gameplay overall is fantastic and has one of the best driving physics in any racing game out there. The only thing that we missed though was the variety of tracks but we expect them to increase with further updates.

So, if you are looking for a game in which you can drift fancy cars with proper driving dynamic, then you simply cannot miss out on the Project Drift.
