According to recent leaks by online retailers, the Xiaomi Mi6 could feature high-end specs albeit at a lower price point. It is pertinent to note that Xiaomi Mi6 would be the first domestic Chinese smartphone to house Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, which are also launching today, house the same processor (available in select regions).
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed an April launch earlier.
Manu Jain, MD of Xiaomi India tweeted this morning: “19th April: the day that will redefine the smartphone industry 😊 Are you excited about #Mi6 just like me?”
