Exclusive: Bua aka Upasana Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu from 'CNWK' to continue with 'Comedy Nights Live'
While ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ has finally aired its last episode, some of the members of Sharma family will be seen at the same set, same channel but with a different show name.
Upasana Singh, more commonly known as 22-year-old hot, sexy, glamorous Bua has revealed that she’ll be reprising her popular character from CNWK on ‘Comedy Ngihts Live’ with Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lahiri, Navjot Singh Siddhu, Bharti Singh; the shooting for which has already begun.
When asked about her journey with ‘CNWK’ team, the actress said, “This journey with Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Sumona Chaterjee, Chandan ji, Ali and other members has been a wonderful experience. Every character has created its own niche in the industry. There are so many shows that are released but to become so hit is definitely a feat, it’s all fate. I feel lucky to have been part of it. The show hasn’t closed with low TRP but definitely with high TRP only."
The actress who has carved her space in the hearts of the viewers is currently juggling between movies, television and stage shows. “I’ve been working so much; films, daily soap and stage shows. I was also offered ‘Nach Baliye’ which I had to deny because of time constraint. Kapil is like my brother; we share a great rapport. I would love to work with him again in future if given a chance.”
While reminiscing about beginning of her journey as Bua, she quipped, “I was never reluctant to play this character; the only thing I was scared of was that Bua might be only subjected to insults on-screen which people might start taking it in bad taste. But it turned out totally opposite. With the first telecast, I was showered with fan mails of appreciations and it felt really good. People have fallen in love with this character. Bua is now famous all over world wherever our Indians are.”
‘Comedy Nights Live’ which is all set to air this weekend will see the popular Bua retaining her character. She also mentioned about Navjot Singh Siddhu being seen in this edition of the show too. When asked if the show will reach the same heights as ‘CNWK’ did, she modestly said, “I can’t say whether this show will be as hit as Kapil but the actors that are working in the show are brilliant actors who have time and again showcased their acting abilities. We have started the shooting, it was really interesting. Kapil had its own audience; in fact every character from the show had its own share of viewers. Only time will tell if people accept the new show."
