Chevrolet has launched its new MPV, the Enjoy in India. There are eight variants on offer with prices starting from Rs 5.49 lakh ex-Delhi.
With the third row folded, there is maximum of 630 litres of boot space. General Motors has also kitted the Enjoy well.
The top-end LTZ trim comes with twin air bags for the front passengers, ABS, EBD, remote keyless entry with buzzer and rear wiper as also washer.
GM is offering a 3 years/1 lakh kms warranty, whichever is earlier for the Enjoy.
Customers get the option of choosing between seven or eight seat variants.
The Enjoy will be manufactured at GM's Halol plant in Gujarat with the diesel engine being supplied from their Talegaon facility.
A choice of 104PS petrol and 77.5PS diesel engines mated to 5-speed manual transmissions are available on the Enjoy.
The Enjoy which is an updated version of Chinese manufacturer Wuling%u2019s CN-100 from the GM-SAIC-Wuling parternship has been positioned against the Maruti Ertiga and Nissan Evalia.
While the 7-seater has captain seats in the first two rows and a bench in the third, the 8-seater gets benches in the middle and last row.
The company currently has 285 outlets in 220 cities with plans to add 25 more soon.
Step inside, and the space utilisation all round impresses. The floor is low since the Enjoy features a monocoque construction. This has allowed the engineers to liberate more space especially with the use of a lower floor board and space in the car.
The top end version gets alloy wheels as standard equipment but the 14-inch wheels look quite small for the MPV. At the back, it looks just like a van, tall and boxy.
The middle row doesn't get a bench seat but two captain seats with armrests that are comfortable.
