One of the most powerful men in the film industry, UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor inherited love for films from his grandfather.
While Siddharth's grandfather had passion for cinema, his father joined the Indian army.
Sidharth's grandfather, Raghupat Roy Kapur left Lahore and his family's flourishing business to become a filmmaker in Bombay in the early 1940s. The young man made four films and then eventually turned to business.
Their mother, Salome Roy Kapoor, is a trained dancer and former Miss India (1972). Salome in fact even starred in a film opposite Deb Mukherjee in the 1970s before getting married.
After keeping about their relationship for almost two years, Siddharth married actress Vidya Balan at a private ceremony in Mumbai on December 14, 2012.
Siddharth's brother Kunal started a career in showbiz earlier than his two other brothers. A child artist, Kunal was one of the cast members of TV series 'Just Mohabbat' before venturing into theatre.
