68. Bolangir is an Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in West region of Odisha and falls in Bolangir district. Odisha is located in East India. Seat is unreserved.

This Semi-Urban constituency has 2,34,183 voters of which 1,20,517 are male and 1,13,666 are female and voters of the third gender.

In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Bolangir , recorded a voter turnout of 72.98%. The voter turnout in the 2014 Assembly elections was 72.6% and in 2009, 64.47% of Bolangir 's voters came out to elect their Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).

In the 2014 Odisha state Assembly elections, Narasingha Mishra of INC won in this seat defeating BJD's candidate by a margin of 12,254 votes which was 7.91% of the total votes polled. Narasingha Mishra polled a total of 1,54,975 (40.7%) votes.

BJD's Anang Uday Singh Deo won this seat in the 2009 Odisha Assembly elections beating the BJP candidate by a margin of 16866 (12.97%) votes. Anang Uday Singh Deo polled 1,30,087 which was 40.7% of the total votes polled.

Bolangir went to the polls in Phase 2 of the 2019 Odisha Assembly polls on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
