In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Boudh, recorded a voter turnout of 79.91%. The voter turnout in the 2014 Assembly elections was 80.47% and in 2009, 73.15% of Boudh's voters came out to elect their Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).
In the 2014 Odisha state Assembly elections, Pradip Kumar Amat of BJD won in this seat defeating INC's candidate by a margin of 11,148 votes which was 9.92% of the total votes polled. Pradip Kumar Amat polled a total of 1,12,349 (50.6%) votes.
BJD's Pradip Kumar Amat won this seat in the 2009 Odisha Assembly elections beating the BJP candidate by a margin of 28207 (28.87%) votes. Pradip Kumar Amat polled 97,708 which was 50.6% of the total votes polled.
