100. Mahakalapada is an Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in Coastal region of Odisha and falls in Kendrapara district. Odisha is located in East India. Seat is unreserved.

This Rural constituency has 2,33,724 voters of which 1,23,856 are male and 1,09,868 are female and voters of the third gender.

In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Mahakalapada, recorded a voter turnout of 75.92%. The voter turnout in the 2014 Assembly elections was 77.94% and in 2009, 72.92% of Mahakalapada's voters came out to elect their Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).

In the 2014 Odisha state Assembly elections, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak of BJD won in this seat defeating BJP's candidate by a margin of 23,246 votes which was 13.66% of the total votes polled. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak polled a total of 1,70,193 (48.69%) votes.

BJD's Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak won this seat in the 2009 Odisha Assembly elections beating the BJP candidate by a margin of 19595 (13.55%) votes. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak polled 1,44,657 which was 48.69% of the total votes polled.

Mahakalapada went to the polls in Phase 4 of the 2019 Odisha Assembly polls on Monday, April 29, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
