In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Chujachen, recorded a voter turnout of 77.24%. The voter turnout in the 2014 Assembly elections was 83.09% and in 2009, 83.92% of Chujachen's voters came out to elect their Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).
In the 2014 Sikkim state Assembly elections, Bikram Pradhan of SDF won in this seat defeating SKM's candidate by a margin of 3,411 votes which was 26.54% of the total votes polled. Bikram Pradhan polled a total of 12,850 (74.35%) votes.
SDF's Puran Kr Gurung won this seat in the 2009 Sikkim Assembly elections beating the SP candidate by a margin of 5963 (54.89%) votes. Puran Kr Gurung polled 10,863 which was 74.35% of the total votes polled.
Chujachen went to the polls in Phase 1 of the 2019 Sikkim Assembly polls on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
