6. Daramdin is an Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in West region of Sikkim and falls in West Sikkim district. Sikkim is located in North East India. Seat is reserved for Bhutia-Lepcha.
This constituency has 13,452 voters of which are male and are female and voters of the third gender.
In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Daramdin, recorded a voter turnout of 80.37%. The voter turnout in the 2014 Assembly elections was 84.65% and in 2009, 84.83% of Daramdin's voters came out to elect their Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).
In the 2014 Sikkim state Assembly elections, Danorbu Sherpa of SDF won in this seat defeating SKM's candidate by a margin of 1,604 votes which was 14.09% of the total votes polled. Danorbu Sherpa polled a total of 11,387 (68.97%) votes.
SDF's Tenzi Sherpa won this seat in the 2009 Sikkim Assembly elections beating the BSP candidate by a margin of 4700 (49.81%) votes. Tenzi Sherpa polled 9,435 which was 68.97% of the total votes polled.
Daramdin went to the polls in Phase 1 of the 2019 Sikkim Assembly polls on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
