Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe Live Score, 2nd Test, Day 1 AFG vs ZIM at Abu Dhabi: It’s time to get underway! Zimbabwe are in a huddle. Aleem Dar and Ahmed Shah Pakteen are the onfield umpires. Out come the Afghanistan openers – Javed Ahmadi and Ibrahim Zadran. Blessing Muzarabani, playing his 3rd Test, is ready to run in. Three slips and a gully in place. Let’s play…

Sean Williams, captain of Zimbabwe, says that he would have liked to bat first as well but feels that these are the challenges they need to deal with. Feels that there will be some turn on offer and he is backing his boys to deliver the goods again. Informs that they are going unchanged.

Asghar Afghan, captain of Afghanistan, says that this wicket is different, it’s looking good and that’s why they want to bat first. Tells that today is a new game and they are positive about this one. Confirms that there are five changes with Rashid Khan coming in and there are a few debutants as well in the XI.

Toss – Afghanistan have won the toss and elected to bat. As many as five changes for them while Zimbabwe have retained their winning XI.

A 2-day Test match created a massive uproar at a place 1856 km away from Abu Dhabi but there was no such reaction here or anywhere regarding the first Test ending in just two days. When that happens, you know that the teams involved are not attracting enough attention, so you need to do something extraordinary to force the cricket world to stop and take notice. Are Afghanistan and Zimbabwe ready to do that?

Hello and welcome everyone! Let’s switch our attention again to this Test series involving less-fancied teams, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. Away from the gaze and scrutiny of the harsh and restless world, these two teams face each other again with the African team eyeing a rarest of rare clean sweep for them in Tests while Afghanistan would be eager to prove their Test credentials by avenging the last embarrassing loss. Thank you for joining us as we warm up to bring you the entire coverage from Day 1 of the second Test match.
