Ajinkya Rahane Thanks Teammates for Believing in Him

New Delhi: With regular skipper Virat Kohli out with an injured shoulder, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was handed the mantle of captaining the team in the series deciding forth Test against Australia in Dharamsala and the Mumbai batsman did a splendid job to take India to an 8-wicket win. And everyone praised Rahane for doing an excellent job as skipper.

But Rahane feels that it is the team which needs to be credited for the success achieved in the final Test at the picturesque HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Rahane took to twitter to thank not just the team members, but also the fans for their love and support. His tweet read: “It was an important task at hand, glad that the team supported me for the ultimate result! Thank you everyone who believed in me and Team.”

Just like skipper Kohli, Rahane too said that it was one of the toughest series that he had been a part of in recent times.

The comment is no surprise considering the domination the team had shown in the earlier series’ against New Zealand, England and Bangladesh.
