Former England captain Alastair Cook is considered one of the best slip fielders in the game currently.

One key reason for that is his super fast reflexes - which are a must fielding at slip where you often have no time at all to reach to a catch.

In the clip, Cook is giving an interview to an Essex reporter about the day’s proceedings. The ball is then mistakenly hit at blistering pace towards where the interview is happening, but Cook nonchalantly plucks the ball out of the air without even looking towards it.

He plucked it out of thin air, literally!

Cook has scored over 11,000 runs in Test cricket, and is the highest run scorer for his country in the longest format of the game.

He was the captain of the Test team, till recently when he gave up the post and Joe Root was named as his successor.

But he still continues to remain an integral part of the team - and will be a key player if the team is to retain the urn.
