Day 2 Round-up: Bangladesh started the day by taking two wickets in two overs but BJ Watling and Trent Boult's resistance down the order propelled New Zealand to 469 all out. Watling scored 103 off 182 balls while Boult remained unbeaten on 52. At stumps, Bangladesh were 103 for 2 and trailed by 366 runs with Mominul Haque and Marshall Ayub at the crease.

Day 1 Round-up:

Kane Williamson's century helped New Zealand cruise to 280 for 5 against Bangladesh on the first day of the first Test on Wednesday. Williamson made his 114 facing 210 balls before he was trapped lbw by left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan in the day's second-to-last over. When captain Brendon McCullum also fell lbw in the last over to left-armer Abdur Razzak, the umpires ended a day in which Bangladesh struggled in the field but finished in style.
