LIVE SCORECARD

Day 1 summary: Captain Misbah-ul-Haq hit a century in his maiden Test appearance at Lord's to take Pakistan to 282 for six against England on the opening day of the first Test on Thursday.

The 42-year-old batted brilliantly and smashed 18 fours in his unbeaten 110 off 179 balls after opted to bat. Asad Shafiq made a solid 73 and had a 148-run stand with Misbah before falling to Chris Woakes.
