Mumbai Indians will have to play out of their skins in their match against Perth Scorchers at the Feroz Shah Kotla, the outcome of which will decide whether Mumbai or Otago Volts join Rajasthan Royals as the two semi-finalists from Group A of the Champions League Twenty20.

Mumbai should be thankful to Rajasthan for giving them an outside chance of reaching the semis, as Rahul Dravid's men beat Otago by four wickets on Tuesday in Jaipur. That win has ensured Rajasthan a top-of-the-table finish in Group A with 16 points and a place in the last four; however, Mumbai are placed third with six points, while Otago at second with 10, which means Rohit Sharma's team can still leapfrog Otago on net run rate (NRR).

MI's current NRR is +0.090, which is behind Otago's +0.869. That means Mumbai have to win either by 49 runs or by chasing down the target in 14.2 overs.
