Ashwin Digs Into an Apple, KKR CEO Confuses it for Medu Vada

New Delhi: It is not very often that Indian cricketers get time to take off from cricket, but when they do, they surely grab the eyeballs. On Tuesday, Ravichandran Ashwin along with teammate Vijay Shankar and fielding coach R Sridhar was spotted at the Pench Tiger Reserve, in Madhya Pradesh.

The trio went for a morning safari in the Tiger Reserve and Ashwin posted photos of the same on social media. Ashwin tweeted, "Great start to the day, morning safari @ the Pench Tiger Reserve. Nature and the wilderness at its stunning best. @vijayshankar260 @coach_rsridhar."

The off-spinner also posted a photo of himself digging into an apple with caption, "#NewProfilePic."

He instantly got a comment on the photo from KKR CEO Venky Mysore, asking him whether it was a crisp Medu Vada or an apple, and soon got a reply from Ashwin, "Actually a not so crispy 🍎😂."

In the second Test against Sri Lanka at Nagpur, R Ashwin bagged 8 wickets, and thus became the fastest bowler in the world to take 300 wickets. His contribution was immense in India's innings and 239 runs win against the islanders. Now both the teams head to Delhi, where the match begins on December 2.
