Chennai: Indian cricketers returned home from Malaysia on Saturday after failing to make it to the final of the DLF Cup tri-series that also featured West Indies and Australia.
The players, who arrived at 2030 hrs IST, quickly made their way to the domestic airport to take the flight to their respective destinations.
Suresh Raina and Mohammad Kaif stayed back in Kuala Lumpur while coach Greg Chappell left for Australia for a brief holiday.
The former Australian captain would join the Indian team on October 6 ahead of the Champions Trophy that is to be held from October 7 to November 5.
The Indian team registered one win from four matches in Malaysia.
Australia and the West Indies play in the final on Sunday.
