New Delhi: David Warner is having a good time with his family and he has been keeping his fans abreast by posting photos on his Instagram account. And on Thursday morning he posted a photo of his daughter Ivy Mae copying him when he gets angry on his daughters for not listening to him.
Warner’s post on the social media site read: “This is what daddy does when I don't listen. Funny not 😂😜. #whattodo #havetohaveto #kidswillbekids.”
The Australian players are currently unemployed as they have a pay dispute to settle with Cricket Australia. The Federation of International Cricketers Associations (FICA) has extended its support to the Australian Cricketers Association (ACA).
"FICA is concerned with CA's desire to end the percentage revenue sharing model that has so successfully underpinned the partnership between the players and administrators in Australia for twenty years," FICA said in a media statement.
"The model has not only been hugely successful for Australian cricket but has been a model of best practise adopted by associations in cricket and other sports, worldwide," the statement said.
West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has supported the Australian players in their battle against the board and said: “To be very honest I have not been following or have not spoken to anyone about it. But yes, I am aware of their situation. It is something that I have been involved with myself before (West Indies even cut short a tour of India in October 2014). I am standing with the players and hope they stand firm and get what they deserve.”
Cricket Australia chairman David Peever on Thursday went on the attack over suggestions he is running an "extreme" industrial relations agenda, slamming the players' union for "reckless" tactics in a damaging pay dispute.
Peever claimed the Australian Cricketers' Association was threatening to drive away commercial sponsors, damage the prospects of broadcast partners and lock up player intellectual property rights into its own business ventures.
Writing an opinion piece in The Australian newspaper, he said that CA's board had been insulted and disrespected in the ugly spat between the governing body and players.
