Jayant was associated with Delhi since 2015 but only got to play 10 matches in which he scalped four wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.53.
The 28-year-old was retained by the franchise, who managed acquire Axar Patel and Jalaj Saxena in the auction. With leg spinner Amit Mishra too in the squad, it would have been difficult for Jayant to break into the playing XI.
Meanwhile, Mumbai too have the likes of Krunal Pandya, Mayank Markande, Anukul Roy and Rahul Chahar in the squad and it will be interesting to see how they use the off spinner.
Jayant recently led India in the 2018 Emerging Teams Asia Cup where they lost to Sri Lanka by three runs in the final.
The trading window will remain open until 5:00 PM (IST) - 30 days prior to the start of IPL 2019.
