Faisal replaces Inzamam in Pak team

The Technical Committee of the tournament has approved Faisal Iqbal as the replacement for Inzamam-ul Haq.

Dubai: The International Cricket Council has approved replacements for Pakistan's Inzamam-ul Haq and Zimbabwe's Vusi Sibanda who were originally due to take part in the Champions Trophy, but pulled out in last minute because of different reasons.

The Technical Committee of the tournament has approved Faisal Iqbal as the replacement for Inzamam, who is suspended for four One-Dayers following an ICC Code of Conduct hearing in London last week.

Tafadzwa Mufambisi has been approved to replace Sibanda.

The committee has also received a request to replace Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark with Dan Cullen and it is hoped that it will approve that replacement within the next 24 hours.

The committee has also agreed to change the start times of all matches in the Champions Trophy from 1415 hrs IST to 1430 hrs IST. This change has been made to accommodate broadcasters covering the event.
