IND vs ENG, 3rd Test Match Predicted XIs: Both Sides Will Look to Win All-important Fixture to Go 2-1 Up in Series

India will square off against England in the third Test which is set to commence from Wednesday, February 24. The upcoming pink ball fixture will be played at the Motera Stadium, in Ahmedabad and will be a day-night clash.

Both sides will be going all out in the Ahmedabad Test, as a win here not only gives a psychological edge, but also a clear advantage ahead of the final and fourth Test match at the same venue. India will be going into the match with a lot of confidence after displaying a spectacular all-round performance from Ravichandran Ashwin and a mammoth first innings hundred from Rohit Sharma in Chennai. The Virat Kohli-led side made a strong comeback to win the second Test with a massive 317-run victory to level the series 1-1.

On the other hand, England will be keen to regain lost form and solve their batting troubles which led to their defeat in the second Test. Even though the visitors’ side boasted of some brilliant knocks, including skipper Joe Roots’ with his stellar 200 run show in the series opener, they were completely decimated when playing the turning ball at Chennai.

Going into the all-important Ahmedabad encounter, both sides will try and go one-up in the 1-1 level series. Also, on the line will be a place in the World Test Championship Final for both teams. In all probability expect them to fight it out tooth and nail in this third Test.
