IPL 2017: Bengaluru & Mumbai to Host Knockout Matches

The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the first Qualifier (on May 16), the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Bengaluru will host the Eliminator (May 17) and the second Qualifier (on May 19) in the 10th edition of the IPL.

IPL 2017: Bengaluru & Mumbai to Host Knockout Matches

New Delhi: The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal will host the final of the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Sunday.

While the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the first Qualifier (on May 16), the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host the Eliminator (May 17) and the second Qualifier (on May 19).

The IPL, starting on April 5 and ending on May 21, will have no reserve days except for the final. "A reserve day is available for the final, but not the other three play-off matches," the BCCI statement said.

Qualifier 1 will be played between the top two teams of the league stage. The winner will go into the final while the loser will take on the winner of the Eliminator — played between the third and fourth placed teams at the end of the group stage — for a spot in the final.
