IPL 2017, RCB vs DD, Live Score: RCB, DD Look to Outshine Each Other

VICTORY FOR KINGS: The captain gets the winnings run, he ends up unbeaten on 44 off just 20 deliveries, Miller stays unbeaten on 30 off 27 balls. But it was as much about an extremely disciplined bowling by the Punjab bowlers, who restricted Pune to a below par total.

Wide ball from Ben Stokes and the scores are tied then, Kings about to complete a well deserved victory

BOUNDARY: Bowled short by Stokes and Miller pulls that to the boundary, three runs needed for victory now. Almost there.

Seven runs needed off the last two overs for the underdogs to complete ba resounding victory over Pune.

SIX: That is bowled full by Dinda and Miller offers the full face of the bat and it just springs off his blade and goes for a flat six and that makes the equation simpler for the Punjab outfit.

Ashok Dinda is bowling the 18th over with 19 runs needed for victory, the first ball is hit down the ground for a single

BACK TO BACK SIXES: The world's best T20 bowler has been hit mercilessly for two massive sixes by Glenn Maxwell. The Australia is in full flight here and Punjab fans are loving it.

MAXI-MUM: Glenn Maxwell opens up and butchers that over the long off fence for another maximum. The Kings XI Punjab looks is pristine touch as he goes about doing what he does best. Bludgeon bowlers out of the park.

FOUR: Short and wide by Ben Stokes and Maxwell said Thank You to the 'BIG BEN' slashes that over the point fielder for a boundary

KILLER MILLER: David Miller gets that one right in the middle of his bat and hits it over Rajat Bhatia's head for a big six. Bhatia needs to alter his length. KXIP now need 48 off 36 deliveries.

BOUNDARY: The captain is leading the way in the business end here, hit that flat to the cover boundary off Rajat Bhatia. The required rate has come rocketing down.

OVERTHROW BOUNDARY: Maxwell and Miller have run two extra runs after the ball hit the stumps and went for overthrows. It's an overthrow boundary for the big show.

MAXI CHECKS IN: Glenn Maxwell announces his arrival on the wicket with a powerful shot straight down the ground. This is what can be expected if this guy stays on the wicket.

End of a great over from Imran Tahir and Kings XI Punjab need 76 runs off the last 8 overs. Their two big batting stars, Glenn Maxwell and David Miller are in the middle and if they get going, this should be a cakewalk. But the pitch isn't the easiest to get going with the big hits.

WICKET: Axar Patel goes for the big hoick and ends up giving Imran Tahir his second wicket of the match. Axar goes for 24 off 22 deliveries. Pune have slowly but surely made a good comeback in the match

WICKET: Rahul Chahar gets his first wicket, Hashim Amla tries to clear the boundary but finds Ben Stokes in the deep instead. Amla departs for 28, Kings XI Punjab, 83/3, need 81 runs off 56 balls to win

SIX: That was bowled short by Rahul Chahar and Axar Patel hits that over the long on fielder into the fence for a much needed boundary. The fans had almost gone off to sleep in the stadium, I am managing to stay awake with some chips and cola

Long hop there by Rahul Chahar but Amla misses out. The required rate has gone above 9 and both Axar and Amla haven't managed to get a boundary away in the last three overs. Pune will be happy to have these two men on the pitch.

The younger of the Chahar brothers makes his IPL debut and the leg-spinner has been on the money with his first four deliveries

Tahir also bowling well here and a few good overs will increase the pressure on the batting side. Axar can't take a lot of time to get going

Ben Stokes bowls a very good seventh over, giving away only three runs. Axar Patel was on strike for most of the over, and while changing the batting order does help at times, but decisions like these can actually backfire at times. Axar is a decent bat but he can't get you the boundaries at will, let's see how this one goes.

BOUNDARY: Surprise Surprise, Axar Patel walks in ahead of Maxwell and Miller, perhaps to negate the threat of Tahir and he starts off by glancing the leggie to the boundary

WICKET: Imran Tahir gets into the act straight away, clean bowls Wriddhiman Saha with the wrong one and brings Pune straight back into the contest. Saha goes for 14, KXIP 49/2.

FOUR: Saha gets that away past the mid-off fielder, that is a proper cricketing shot. This is what Saha brings to the table, he will not take too many risks and still get the runs at a very fast click. All going well for Kings XI Punjab.

FLYING DAN: Stokes bowls that wide outside th eof stump and Saha hits it inthe air, Dan Christian dives full length but only manages to get his fingers on to that one. Half chance, but will go down as a drop catch.

AMLA SPECIAL: He looks calm and quiet but Hashim Amla can hit a cricket ball quite far, opens up his arms and hits that over the cover fence straight into the stands. Big Six from the South African

FOUR: Wriddhiman Saha announces himself on the crease with a crisp square cut that crashes into the advertising hoardings. Good start for the wicket-keeper batsman

WICKET: Ashok Dinda gets the first breakthrough, bowls that short and Manan Vohra's attempt at  clearing boundary again falls in Manoj Tiwary's safe hands, Vohra goes for 14, KXIP 27/1 in 2.5 overs

SIX:  Ashok Dinda bowls that short and Manan Vohra steps out and hits it into the fence over the bowler's head for a big six. This is great batting by the Punjab openers here. They are motoring along by playing good cricketing shots.
