Had Chris Woakes caught hold off Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner at 86, it would have been a different story for Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.

The dashing left-hander, who was dropped on 86 by Woakes, smashed the KKR bowlers all over the park to guide his team to a resounding win.

In the 10th over, Warner was dropped by Woakes when he played a lofted drive off Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav.

With Woakes spilling a sitter, it went for a six.

The next over saw Warner reach triple figures with a flick towards midwicket off a Umesh Yadav delivery as he registered his century in just 43 deliveries.

Warner smashed a marauding 126 runs off 59 deliveries to guide SRH to a 48-run victory over KKR.

The SRH captain unleashed mayhem as he milked 10 fours and eight sixes to power his team to 209 for 3 in 20 overs.

The Gautam gambhir-led KKR could only score 161 for 7.
