New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders didn't just lose the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, but Gautam Gambhir's men also lost their cool during their 48-run defeat at the hands of the defending champions at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Chasing a mammoth target of 210, KKR lost their openers — Sunil Narine and Gautam Gambhir — in as early as the third over the match. In the same over, an incident took place between Robin Uthappa and Siddarth Kaul that put to shame the spirit of the gentleman's game.

On the final ball of the third over, Kaul bowled a short delivery onto Uthappa's pads, which the right-hander swatted away for a boundary between mid-on and mid-wicket to get off the mark.

However, while passing Kaul, the 31-year-old elbowed the youngster which left pacer bewildered. Kaul had just finished a great over in which he had given just four runs and also picked up the prized wicket of skipper Gambhir, so it can be said that Uthappa was trying to unnerve the young pacer.

But the incident didn't go down well with Yuvraj Singh who let his feeling known to Uthappa. Later, when the match was interrupted due to rain, Yuvi also went upto the KKR star and had a friendly chat with him by wrapping his hands around Uthappa's neck.

Even Hyderabad skipper David Warner was furious with Uthappa's actions and he tapped on the batsman's shoulder to let him know that.

However, the incident didn't have a lasting effect on Kaul, who played a starring role in SRH's victory, by ending the innings with figures of 2/26 in four overs.
