New Delhi: Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad have started their campaign in style, defeating last year’s runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs in the opening game of this edition’s IPL in Uppal on Wednesday. And now the boys are busy working on their skills on the dance floor for the road ahead.
The ‘orange army’ loves to celebrate their victories in style and looks like the boys from Hyderabad are looking to prepare a dance number for the remainder of the season.
This isn’t the first time that a cricket team is seen working on their dance skills. The West Indian team had prepared the now famous ‘Champion’ jig going into the ICC World T20 in 2016 and they put on a full-length show after defeating England in the final at the Eden Gardens with singer Dwayne Bravo leading from the front.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan posted a video that shows Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh and Dhawan practicing their dance skills with the caption reading: “Naach Basanti Naach, Jab TAk Tere Paer Chalengey Tab Tak Inki Saansein#gabbar .”
Looks like Gabbar — as Dhawan is fondly called — has taken his name too seriously.
Interestingly, Nehra cut out a sorry figure in the background as the lady choreographer tried her best to help Nehra make some smart moves. Yuvraj and Dhawan though were on the mark from the word go.
