New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan found out a unique way so that their preparations are not hampered by rain ahead of their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday.
Rain tried hard to scupper team Hyderabad's practice session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, but the ace Indian cricketers took the opportunity to play tennis-ball cricket indoors so that their practice remains unaffected.
Skipper David Warner, for once, chose to bowl while Dhawan took the opportunity to free his arms and hit some pull-shots. The official account of the IPL took note of the session and posted on twitter: 'Rain? No problem! We will have a hit indoors. @YUVSTRONG12 & @SDhawan25 at it. @SunRisers' captain @davidwarner31 on bowling duty #IPL'

Meanwhile, all-rounder Yuvraj Singh too played some shots indoors and it was none other than Indian bowling legend Javagal Srinath who bowled to the southpaw. A post on SRH's official twitter account read: 'When you have a veteran bowling legend and a clean hitter, what do you get? @YUVSTRONG12 @iamjavagal #Magic #IPL2017'

There is a chance that rain might play spoilsport on the first day of the tournament itself, as the met department has already issued a warning saying there will light rain and thunder showers in the city for the next two days.
