Bumrah, the Man of the Match:

Bumrah: I'm okay with not taking wickets and winning the tournament. Early wickets are very important, especially with the dew coming in. I'm okay with whatever role is given tpo me. It keeps me in the game, I know what's going on.

I usually don't focus on the end result, I don't focus on what I can't control. I take it ball by ball.

We've got really good camaraderie. First time I'm playing with him. Been very good working with him, understanding different perspective. Help each other. We have discussions about bowling, different fields and situations. We learn from each other which is the best thing.

The win was the most important thing.

23:30 (IST)

Rohit Sharma: Perfect result for us. I said it at the toss, we never had a target at mind. We wanted to play a different way, take it as it comes. Start the Power Play well, losing myself in the second over was not a great sign but Quinton and Surya took the momentum. They were ticking the boxes, rotating the strike. We knew we could accelerate in teh back end and that's what happened.

In T20 we always talk about momentum, there is a reason for it. We don't want the opposition to get momentum and come back to the game. Ishan has a solid hitting ability, as you can see he is on top of the table for sixes this season. It's the same with Krunal as well.

We have to define roles for each player, we have to maximise guys in the best possible way you can. We have a versatile squad, guys understand their roles. It's not easy to bat in different positions,

Boult looks okay, we've got 3-4 days. I don't think it's a big problem, next 3 days he'll be back.

Bumrah makes it very easy for the captain. They're executing the plans, exactly what the team wants. I'm glad that these guys are sticking to the plans.

23:16 (IST)

Shreyas Iyer: I think we were in top of the game especially in that phase when we got two quick wickets and they were 110-4 in 13 or 14 overs. We could have capitalised more and really got under their skin. We could have got two more wickets, and chased 170 on this wicket. But it's part and parcel of the game, every night is not going to be yours.

We just have to keep talking about the opportunity we get, how blessed we are to play this tournament. It's important to have a great mindse towards the game. It's not easy to be in the bubble and have a routine, but the preparation we've put in, the hardwork we've put in, the results keep going here and there, but I'm really happy with the effort we've put in through teh 14 games.

Brilliant. Ashwin is always there, offering something for the team. He's got a great mind, plays around with the batsman. He knows what he's doing and backs his strength. It's great to have him as a captain.

All teh batsmen in their team are in great touch. Especially Hardik and Pollard at the bottom of the order, and their batsmen at the top have full freedom. But we have to stay positive whatever the situation we're put in.

IPL 2020 Highlights, MI vs DC Qualifier 1, Match at Dubai: As it Happened

IPL 2020 Live Score, Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) Qualifier 1 Updates: IPL 2020 live score: DC 143/8 in 20 overs. MI win by 57 runs. A completely one sided match here. MI thrash DC with an all-round performance and storm into the final. The best team in IPL has made it to the final once again. DC will have another opportunity; they’ll play the winner of SRH vs RCB, which will take place tomorrow.

Mumbai Indians (MI) go into Thursday’s Qualifier 1 match against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dubai as the overwhelming favourites. They beat DC in both the matches in the group stage – the second victory in Dubai was an absolute thrashing and that will haunt DC – and also hold a huge advantage having made it to this stage of the tournament several times in the past. MI’s win percentage of 62.5% in Playoff matches is the highest for any team in the history of the IPL.

MI have been the best team in IPL 2020. The batting looks good with Quinton de Kock, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav all scoring big runs and giving match-winning performances in the tournament – they have all aggregated more than 400 runs and have 10 fifties amongst them in IPL 2020. Kieron Pollard has a strike rate of 193.28 in the competition – the highest in the tournament.

MI has the most potent bowling unit in the tournament. Jasprit Bumrah, after a slow start, is now the second-highest wicket-taker with 23 wickets in 13 matches. He has also been very restrictive conceding just under 7 runs per over. Trent Boult has brought in variety and been a match-winner on his own with the ball – the left-armer has picked 20 wickets at a strike rate of 15.4. The leg spinner, Rahul Chahar, has been a revelation – he has continued to impress since IPL 2019. The 21 year old has picked 15 wickets and been quite economical giving away just 7.8 runs per over.

DC have had a mixed bag of a tournament. They started with a bang and won 7 of their first 9 matches but then lost 4 in a row leaving their playoffs fate hanging till the last group match against RCB. The form of Prithvi Shaw remains a big concern – after starting the tournament with a few match-winning performances, he has now registered 7 consecutive under-20 scores in the tournament. DC would have breathed a sigh of relief as their talisman and batsman of the tournament, after a sudden dip in form, was back amongst the runs with a fifty against RCB – Shikhar Dhawan is the third-highest run-getter of IPL 2020 with 525 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 145.02. The team would be desperately hoping that Rishabh Pant finally produces a Rishabh Pant type innings against MI – one of the most destructive batsmen in IPL history, the swashbuckling left-hander has a strike rate of just 112.35 in IPL 2020.

The bowling will be led by Kagiso Rabada – the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 25 wickets. His fellow South African pacer, Anrich Nortje has been very impressive too and intimidated the batsmen with his raw pace and accuracy. Axar Patel has done a great restrictive job in the middle overs and has an economy rate of just 6.27 in the tournament.
