The Internet has been inundated with photos and videos from Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s recent wedding with Sanjana Ganesan. The wedding was a two-day event privately hosted in Goa. The secret wedding was attended by close friends and family members of the couple. Jasprit and Sanjana announced their marriage to the world by sharing beautiful pictures of their wedding ceremony on Instagram on Monday, March 15. However, one particular picture from their Mehendi ceremony is now going viral.

Sanjana’s mehndi design has World Cup 2019’s logo drawn on her back hand. And fans couldn’t help but speculate if the couple’s love story began during the CWC 2019 tournament. Sanjana who is a TV broadcaster, was a part of the CWC 2019 tournament hosted in England and Wales. Bumrah who took 18 wickets in 9 games in the whole tournament seems to have taken another wicket then that of Sanjana.

For the Mehndi ceremony, Sanjana is seen wearing neon-yellow coloured lehenga designed by Anita Dongre while Bumrah put on a cream-coloured outfit from Kunal Rawal’s collection.

The couple was also seen wearing colour-coordinated outfits designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Bride Sanjana chose to wear the classic Sabyasachi bridal lehenga, embroidered with silk floss while the groom Jasprit wore a pale pink silk sherwani, for the ‘phera’ ceremony.

Bumrah’s IPL team Mumbai Indians too have shared a collage video on their official Instagram account that follows the newlyweds’ wedding ceremony including their Haldi, Sangeet, and Mehndi.

Announcing his marriage on Instagram, Jasprit sahred a beautiful picture with caption “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”
