Admirers of old-school cricket still don't follow the Twenty20 tamasha. They would rather analyse the loop and dip of a classic spinner than the metres a six travelled. And when club names like 'Legends of Rupganj' mushroom, you know matters are only getting worse.
A Dhaka Premier League club is called 'Legends of Rupganj', a name you generally associate reading at big hoardings outside a theatre or on the cover of novels neatly lined up at a book stall; certainly not a cricket club, but that's what it is.
Rupganj is the hometown of Luftar Rahman Badal, a businessman and a cricket official. He has been in charge of Dhaka Premier League winning campaigns of Mohammedan and Victoria Sporting Clubs.
Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday unveiled the logo of the club in Dhaka.
