At Bangalore, Karnataka need 245 runs to earn an outright victory against Odisha.

Ranji, Group B, Round 4, Day 3: Maharshtra, Baroda take first innings lead

The Group B encounter between Odisha and Karnataka at Bangalore is evenly poised as hosts are 43 for 1 at stumps of day three chasing 245 for the victory. Biplab Samantray cracked 86 on day three as Odisha made 255 in their second innings.

In Nagpur, Maharashtra earned the important first innings lead against Vidarbha and they would now look to score some quick runs on day four and declare the innings to have a go at outright victory. Vidarbha were 123-3 overnight and despite Gaurav Upadhyaya's 77 they were all out for 266, 16 runs short of Maharashtra's first innings total.

Maharashtra are 95-3 at stumps on day three.

In Rohtak, Baroda pipped Haryana to scoop the first innings lead on day three and the match is likely to end as a draw unless the hosts pull off a miracle. Despite losing Saurabh Wakaskar, who was unbeaten on 100 on day two, in the first over of the day, Baroda did well to get past Haryana's first innings score of 295. Ambati Raydu led from the front and made breezy 54 to propel Baroda to 324.
