Agartala: Kerala grabbed three points owing to their first innings lead over Tripura in a match that ended in a tame draw on the fourth and final day.

Kerala on Day 3 had taken a 122-run first essay lead by declaring their innings at 301 for nine in reply to Tripura's 179 all out.

Resuming on 84 for two in their second innings, Tripura were trailing Kerala by 38 runs, but by the end of the day, the home side reached 295 for nine to deter the visitors from posting a win.

Opener Bishal Ghosh, who started the day on 47, scored 266-ball 82 with the help of 10 fours to be the top-scorer for Tripura.

Another significant contribution came from N N Sen Chowdhary, who hit an unbeaten 72 off 153 deliveries, studded with 10 boundaries.

For Kerala, Amit Verma (5 for 61) was the pick of the bowlers.

Swarupam's six-for earns bonus points for Assam

Off-spinner Swarupam Purkayastha single-handedly destroyed Goa in their second innings as well and returned with an impressive six-wicket haul to earn a comfortable 10-wicket win for Assam.

After picking up five wickets for 69 runs in the first innings, Swarupam (6/76) once again spun the web around Goa batsmen to snare six wickets in the second essay and finish with an impressive match figures of 11 for 145.

Goa batsmen had no clue against Swarupam's guile as Assam bowled the hosts out for 268 in 109.3 overs in their second innings after resuming the day at the overnight score of 82 for no loss.

Openers Amogh Sunil Desai (63) added 21 runs to his overnight score to complete a half-century, while his partner skipper Swapnil Asnodkar, who was batting on 37 overnight, made 46 before becoming Swarupam's victim.

Thereafter, Swarupam demolished Goa second innings single-handedly, picking up the next five wickets -- Sagun Kamat, Reagan Pinto (37), Darshan Misal (15), Keenan Vaz (59) and Deepraj Gaonkar.

Pacer Abu Nechim Ahmed (2/24) also picked up two wickets for the visitors.

Set a target of just nine runs for an outright win, Assam overwhelmed the score in 1.3 overs without losing any wicket, thereby earning bonus points.

Jharkhand collect 3 points against Hyderabad

The match between Hyderabad and Jharkhand ended in a draw, with the hosts running away with three points courtesy the first-innings lead.

Opting to bat at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Jharkhand amassed 556 for nine declared and then bowled out Hyderabad for 455 to take a healthy 101-run first-innings lead.

At stumps on the fourth day, Hyderabad were seven for no loss in reply to Jharkhand's second-innings total of 189 for four declared.

Himachal Pradesh play out a draw against Andhra

Himachal Pradesh batsmen Rishi Dhawan and Rashmi Parida hit half centuries as their rain-affected match against Andhra ended in a draw.

A dogged stand of 59 from 36.4 overs between Dhawan (55 not out) and Parida (52) ensured the home side did not get bowled out as they ended at 186 for 7 in 88 overs on the fourth day at HPCA Stadium.

Since the first innings for both sides remained unfinished due to the weather, each team got a point each.

Andhra extended their overnight score from 301 for 6 to 336 for 8 declared, before Himachal's top order was rocked by seamer Paidikalva Vijaykumar (3/47).

Dhawan and Parida though ensured they stayed afloat to save their side from being bowled out.
