The Road Safety World Series 2021 tournament is scheduled to kickstart from Friday, March 5. Former Indian cricketers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan, who are part of the India Legends squad, posed with their new jerseys. Irfan, who is quite active on social media, shared a photo of the brothers flaunting their new team jerseys.Irfan, the younger brother of Yusuf, took to Twitter to share the photo which he captioned as, "Post retirement pic."

The brothers who represented Team India internationallywill be part of the Sachin Tendulkar led India Legends team. The upcoming tournament will kick off with India Legends taking on Bangladesh Legends in the opening fixture which will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh and will start at 7:00 pm IST.

The 2021 edition of the Road Safety World Series will have teams including India Legends, South Africa Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, and West Indies Legends. Australian Legends team dropped out, however, England Legends and Bangladesh Legends will fill their void.

The T20 tournament will see the Legends’ teams squaring off in the group stage matches, following which top four teams will be up against each other in two semi-finals which are scheduled to be played on March 17 and 19. The final of the marquee event is slated on March 21.

The annual T20 cricket tournament was organised to create awareness towards road safety in the country and will give fans of the game to see superstars of yesteryears in action once again. The tournament will feature legends such as Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, Bret Lee, Muttiah Muralitharan andJonty Rhodes, among others.

Meanwhile, Yusuf recently announced his retirement from all formats of the game. Heplayed in 57 ODIs and 22 T20Is for India. The all-rounder scored 810 and 236 runs, respectively, in both the limited-overs formats. The handy off spinner, who bats right handed, also featured in 100 first-class matches and scored 4825 runs and picked 201 wickets.

His younger sibling Irfan, a seam bowling all-rounder, represented India in 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is before hanging up his boots in January this year. He picked a total of 301 international wickets and scored 2821 runs for India.
