New Delhi: It was in the 2000s that Sunil Gavaskar's son Rohan had a brief stint in the Indian team, under the leadership of Sourav Ganguly. The Gavaskar scion made 11 appearances for the Indian team and scored one fifty against Zimbabwe. Since then, Gavaskar played for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy and also tried his hand at commentary like his father.

On Sunday, Rohan posted a picture with Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag and wrote,"India’s greatest openers . Tendulkar , Gavaskar , Sehwag. Two at cricket . One at bottles ,” said Gavaskar.

Post his stint with the Indian team, Gavaskar had briefly joined the rebel league ICL. Recently, the news broke that Rohan would join South Africa's T20 Global League as a media director of one of the teams, but with the league postponed for sometime, there is no clarity on his role.
