MS Dhoni has not had the best of times over the last few months. After being dropped as Rising Pune Supergiants skipper going into the auction ahead of this year's auction, he was recently openly criticised by owner Sanjiv Goenka’s brother Harsh after the team's opening game against Mumbai Indians. And looks like wife Sakshi Dhoni hasn't taken it too nicely and posted a picture wearing a now-suspended Chennai Super Kings helmet.
It is no secret that Dhoni led CSK with aplomb before it was suspended by the Supreme Court for two seasons ahead of last edition. Sakshi is clearly missing Dhoni’s CSK days and she took to Instagram to post a picture which read: “#throwback !!”
Pune's newly-appointed skipper Steven Smith hit an unbeaten 93 against Mumbai and took the team home and Harsh immediately took to Twitter to write: "#RPSvMI Smith proves who's the king of the jungle. Overshadows Dhoni totally. Captains innings. Great move to appoint him as captain."
Even though he was immediately trolled by Dhoni fans, it was clear that things are not hunky-dory between Dhoni and the owners.
Clearly, now even Sakshi wants the Chennai franchise to return to action so that Dhoni can get back to leading the Lions with the consistency that he showed in the first eight editions.
