Popular TV anchor and host Sanjana Ganesan tied the knot with cricketer Jasprit Bumrah on Monday in a hush-hush affair at Goa. Rumours of their wedding were doing the rounds following Bumrah’s withdrawal from the Team India squad ahead of the 4th Test against England in Ahmedabad.They only grew stronger once the pacer was left out of India’s five-match T20I squad as well.

However, the pair now has put end to all the speculation when they released two photos from the ceremony with the caption with a love-filled captioned. “Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you,” Sanjana wrote.

Following their wedding, everyone has been busy wishing the couple.Netizens are also sharing old videos of the couple and their earlier interviews.

In one such video, it has been revealed what show Sanjana would have played if she was a cricketer. In an interview with former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik, where DK turned the tables on her and started asking questions, Sanjana opened up on her batting approach.

“I would have been an opening batsman. I feel like I was made to be an opening batsman. I am like a shotmaker, explosive start,” said Sanjana, who covers KKR during the Indian Premier League.

Sanjana is likely to be seen once again with KKR during this year’s IPL, where she might well come across herhusband Bumrah when KKR face Mumbai Indians. Earlier, she was already teased once by MI cricketer Suryakumar Yadav when she posted a photo about her excitement ahead of last year’s IPL and was asked whom she was supporting, to which she replied,”Cricket ki taraf se! (I’m on Cricket’s side).”

The IPL will start on April 9 and will last till May 30. This seasonwill be played across only six centres,without home advantage because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
