Former India opener Virender Sehwag has hit out at media reports which suggested that his latest post on Instagram was an indirect jibe on the Kohli-Kumble spat.

However, a leading channel ran a report saying this was Sehwag's view on the Kohli-Kumble fight.

Sehwag responded saying: How do u have fuel to spin things out of context.If u have any integrity telecast an apology on same channel &do a show on how u mislead ppl

Virender Sehwag is among the contenders for the next India coach, and he will be interviewed by the CAC for the same.

The Delhi opener was supposed to be among the favourites to take over the job, with reports saying that captain Virat Kohli had asked him to apply.

However, with BCCI reopening the application process, it will be interesting to see how things pan out.
