In a video posted on Instagram, Dhawan said: “Hey guys I have finally reached 1 million followers. Thanks for your love and constant support, really appreciate it.”
Dhawan is one of the few Indian cricketers who is very active on Instagram and shares pictures and videos with his fans almost on a daily basis. Both on and off the field, Dhawan has been having a good time, especially with wife Ayesha and son Zoravar travelling with him, first to England and Wales for the Champions Trophy and now in the West Indies.
After a series of high scores, Dhawan has failed in the last two innings, scoring just 2 and 5 and will look to make amends in the last ODI as India look to win the series. Surprisingly, West Indies managed to beat India in the fourth ODI by 11 runs and now the series stands at 2-1 in India’s favour.
Skipper Virat Kohli has questioned some of the shot selection by the Indian batsmen after West Indies edged out India by 11 runs in the fourth ODI at Antigua on Sunday. With this victory, the hosts have kept the series alive as a win in the last ODI for them will level the five match series (first ODI was washed out). The Indian bowlers once again produced a stunning performance and restricted West Indies for a modest 189/9 in their designated 50 overs. But it was their batting, which failed to shine on the day and couldn't get India over the line. Skipper Kohli lauded the India bowlers for their show but at the same time expressed his displeasure regarding the way the batsmen gave away their wickets.
