Siddle is my biggest challenge: Kohli

Adelaide: India middle-order batsman Virat Kohli cannot get over the disappointment on missing out on a century in the second innings of the Third Test at Perth as he gets set for the fourth and final Test here on Tuesday.

"I could not imagine that three wickets (Vinay Kumar, Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma) fell in the space of five balls. I thought I could easily get to the three-figure mark with the tailenders, but unfortunately I couldn't," said Kohli, who scored 75 in the second innings.

His cause was not helped by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni deciding to play four quick bowlers, who made the India tail appear long. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who batted well in the first two Tests, was dropped to include fast bowler Vinay Kumar.

On the topic of the sizzling Australian bowling attack, Kohli admitted handling Victorian Peter Siddle is a difficult task for him. "All the Aussies bowlers are bowling accurately - a fantastic line and not offering any width. I am handling Ryan (Harris) well, but I am finding it difficult to play Siddle. He is the fastest among them. I am always extra cautious while facing Siddle's deliveries," said Kohli after a net session at the Adelaide Oval.

"Yes, bounce is a problem here hence I am trying to play straight. You have to use horizontal bat shots like the cut and pull, but I am trying to play much straighter," he added. The Delhi batsman, who has established himself in the one-day team, is playing his first international series in Australia. "It is a great challenge to have a success in Australia. I am trying to learn with every passing day. This is a great educational tour for me," he said.
