IPL 2018: Sunrisers Hyderabad Need Rashid Khan to Step Up Against Nemesis Side CSK in Final

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the best bowling unit in this season of the IPL and the team along with their fans will want their strongest department to turn up trumps on the big day when they take on the Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash in Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. While, most of their team , especially the bowlers have excelled against one and all this season, the spinning sensation from Afghanistan Rashid Khan's track record against CSK will be a worry for the Kane Williamson led side on Sunday.

Rashid Khan, in the on-going season has taken a total of 21 wickets, with three three wicket hauls to boast off. For his side, three of the best bowling performances in the season has come from Rashid and he is also tied with Siddarth Kaul for having bagged the most number of wickets for the Hyderabad side this season. The duo have taken 32 wickets between them so far.

While the numbers speak well for Rashid and spells fear in the minds of mosts batsmen he bowls to, including the Chennai Super Kings line-up, the spinner and all involved in the final will be aware of his underwhelming performance against the MS Dhoni led side. The young spinner from Afghanistan has managed to take only three wickets in as many games against CSK at an average of 28.33, which is much above his average for the season.

The encouraging thing though for Williamson and SRH will be the fact that Mumbai has been a happy hunting ground for the Khan. The spinner has played three matches in Mumbai and returned with a tally of five wickets at an economy rate of under four runs per over and an average that is just above eight.

After his match-winning performance at the Eden Gardens against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 2, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hoping for a change in fortune and form for their dangerous spinner as they aim for the knockout blow against a well settled Chennai side.
