New Delhi: Ace Australian spinner Steve O'Keefe skipped lunch on day 3 of the Ranchi Test at JSCA stadium and returned to the pitch, alongwith spin coach Sridharan Sriram to plan India's downfall.
With Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara at the crease before lunch, India were going all guns blazing towards Australia's first innings score of 451. However, in the last over before the break, O'Keefe gave the visitors a timely breakthrough by removing Vijay for 82.
But the left-arm spinner wanted the momentum to remain on his side and therefore — alongwith coach Sriram — O'Keefe returned to the field to learn more tricks on how to put further breaks on the Indian innings.
Just as at Pune, Steve O'Keefe skips lunch & head back to middle with spin coach Sri Sriram. He took 6-12 after their 1st Test chat #INDvAUS

Earlier, O'Keefe skipped lunch in the first Test in Pune as well and everyone knows what happened. The 32-year-old took six wickets in each innings to script a famous 333 runs victory over the number one ranked team in the world.
Spin coach S Sriram has been instrumental in the Australian spinners doing well in Indian shores and it's only logical that Steve O'Keefe wants to spend more time with him in the middle.
