Suresh Raina Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi in The Netherlands

Discarded Indian team player Suresh Raina on Wednesday put up a photograph on his twitter account in which he can seen standing next to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The duo is flanked by the cricket's wife Priyanka in the photograph.

Raina, who last played for India in the limited-overs series against England at home and was sidelined for the ICC Champions Trophy, met the Prime Minister during the latter's visit to the Netherlands.

The Gujarat Lions captain is currently holidaying with his wife in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam.

He wrote,"Delighted to meet the man with golden vision @narendramodi on his exceptionally constructive visit to the #Netherlands. #ModiInNetherlands."

PM Modi visited Portugal, the United States and ended his tour in the Netherlands. This year marks 70 years of Indo-Dutch diplomatic relations.

The Netherlands is not the only destination that the cricketer has been holidaying at. A few days back Raina had posted a picture of him dining out at a restaurant in the French capital Paris along with his wife and kid.

The southpaw has been struggling for runs and has been in an out of the Indian limited overs team for the past three years. India definitely needs a stable middle-order batsman like Raina, given the fact that both Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni are in the last leg of their international careers. But for that to happen, the Uttar Pradesh batsman needs to get back to his run scoring ways.
