New Delhi: Talented Delhi cricketer Unmukt Chand scored a brilliant ton for his team in a match against Uttar Pradesh in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. The opener slammed 116 runs in 125 balls, that included 12 fours and three sixes. What makes this knock really special is the fact that Chand got a ton, despite a broken jaw.

A former U19 World Cup winning captain, Chand was injured in the nets, just before the start of the match. The opener's innings helped Delhi achieve a target of 307/6 against Uttar Pradesh.

This is not the first time that a cricketer has displayed exceptional courage, and continue to play, despite getting injured. Cricket followers round the globe remember Anil Kumble bowling with a heavily bandaged face in the Antigua Test against West Indies in 2002. He managed to get the wicket of dangerous Brian Lara.

Another similar instance was when former South Africa skipper Graeme Smith came out to bat with a broken arm against Australia, to save the Test.
