New Delhi: It is often said that when things don’t go your way, taking a break and switching off is the best possible option. And that is exactly what Virat Kohli and his boys did after the humiliating 333-run loss in the first Test against Australia in Pune.
With the Indian team scheduled to fly to Bengaluru on Tuesday, the boys took time out to go for a hike on Monday. They visited Tamhini Ghat, around 80km from Pune. Skipper Kohli led the way as he posted a picture on Twitter where he was seen sitting on top of a mountain wearing a tee and shorts and carrying a backpack.
The post read: “Everyday is a blessing and an opportunity. Be grateful and keep moving ahead. 😇✌️”

And he wasn’t the only one who took the opportunity to post a picture of the adventure trip. Out-of-form India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane took to Instagram to post a picture with his wife from the same location.
The post read: “Seeing a #sunset is so peaceful #beautifulnature @radhika_dhopavkar.”
Spin spearhead R Ashwin took to Instagram to post a picture with Tamil Nadu teammate Abhinav Mukund which read: “Trekking!”
He followed that up with a group photo that included Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay and Kohli. This one read: “Learn and grow!”
But the best picture had to be the one posted by ‘Sir’ Ravindra Jadeja. He was seen holding the Indian flag and standing on top of a mountain with a caption that read: “On the mountain #teamactivity #fun #rajputboy 🇮🇳🇮🇳#jaihind.”
Clearly the boys wanted to erase the memory of the debacle in the first Test and start afresh going into the second Test against Steve Smith and his boys in Bengaluru, starting Saturday.
