‘Jack of all trades but master of none’ is a misleading saying. Take Chris Gayle, for instance –he can bat, he can bowl, he can sing, and he can dance,all quite amazingly. The West Indies cricketer, who is now a music artiste, has released his newest single Wack we a Wack and it is as wacky as the celebrity cricketer’s persona. Released on Friday, the song and dance video features Gayle holding a drink practically throughout the entire video.

Gayle said they just wanted to create a high-energy dancing song that the people could move to. “Once we created the hook Wack we a Wack, everything else just came together nicely,” Gayle was quoted by Jamaica Observer.

His musical alias is Chris Gayle — UniverseBoss. The song was written by Gayle himself along with lyricists Camar “Flava” Doyles andGeorvin Briscoe. The duo is from Triple Century Records, the label under which the song is produced.

Gayle added that song is about ‘wacking’ people away. “There are persons around you that aren’t happy for you, they are just there to use you and we don’t want no bad vibes or negative energy around us. Who not adding value to your life we a wack off the link,” he said.

The hook dance step for Wack We a Wack is quite interesting and Gayle performs it admirably. He is almost sure that the hook step and the dance moves of the video will soon catch on.

But his new music career does not mean he is going to quit cricket.He plans to play till at least he is 45-years-old, which means he can play the next two World Cups, he said to ANI. The singer-cricketer is 41.

He announced the release of his new single on his official Twitter handle like this:

The tweet video has over 27K views. “Universe Boss roar on the field and off the field to” replied one fan. “This is funky ..! You are super multi-talented” wrote another.
