Yuvraj Singh had to douse a fire lit by his father Yograj Singh on Monday, when the latter slammed India captain MS Dhoni alleging that he has a personal problem with his son.
"I want to know what is MS Dhoni's problem with my son, he played for nation even while suffering from cancer," Yograj said hinting that Dhoni had a role to play in Yuvraj's snub for the ongoing World Cup.
"I was shocked when I learnt that Yuvraj Singh was not in the World Cup squad. If MS Dhoni is having personal issues with my son, I won't do anything, God will do justice. He (Dhoni) told the selectors that Yuvraj was not needed in the squad," said Yograj.
Yuvraj, however, was not even selected in the preliminary squad of 30 probables for the World Cup. There was a lot of hue and cry over it but the selectors said they have to move on. Along with Yuvraj, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Gautam Gambhir and Zaheer Khan were also overlooked. All of them were part of India's victorious 2011 World Cup squad.
The unexpected outrage by his father forced India's Man of the Series during the 2011 World Cup come out with cover up. "Like every parent, my dad is also passionate and I am sure got carried away always enjoyed playing under Mahi n would do so in future," he tweeted.
One should also notice the last few words of that tweet, which hint that the southpaw is not thinking of retiring anytime soon.####
