Yuzvendra Chahal became the highest wicket-taker in T20Is as he recorded figures of 4/23 against Sri Lanka in the first T20I at Cuttack.
Chahal has now taken 19 wickets in T20Is in 2017.
He spun a web around the Sri Lankan batsmen as India coasted home and recorded a comfortable 93-run win over the Lankans in the first T20I at Cuttack. This is India's biggest victory in T20Is and Sri Lanka's biggest loss.
Chahal broke the back of Sri Lankan batting as he accounted for Upul Tharanga, Angelo Mathews, Asela Gunaratne and Dasun Shanaka.
He was aided by his partner in crime, Kuldeep Yadav who ended with figures of 2/18, as Sri Lanka were never allowed to settle in the chase of 181.
Only Tharanga and Kusal Perera showed some resistance, scoring 23 and 19 respectively
Making a comeback into the team, Jaydev Unadkat provided the first blow, getting the dangerous Dickwella for 13.
Earlier, after being put into bat by Thisara Perera, India got off to a steady start as KL Rahul - who had replaced Shikhar Dhawan - and Rohit Sharma stitched together a 38-run partnership.
